Whitelisting in Google Workspace

Set up your email allowlist by IP address

1. Sign in to your Google Admin Console with an administrator account and select Apps.

2. Select Google Workspace

3. Select Gmail

4. Select Spam, Phishing and Malware

5. On the left, select the top-level organisation, which should be your company domain.

6. Click the Email allowlist section.

7. Enter our IP addresses, and click Save.

Adding Phishing Simulator server IP's to your Inbound Gateway

Many of our phishing templates mimic real-life phishing attacks and due to the similarity of the templates with the past attacks, a Gmail warning banner may appear in your user’s inbox when they receive a simulated phishing email.

Note: We recommend enabling these settings for the duration of your campaign only.

1. Remain in Spam, phishing, and malware section. Add a new Inbound Gateway. Name the setting, for example: Phishing Simulation Inbound Gateway.

2. Scroll down and select the Inbound Gateway section. Click the Enable button.

3. Enter our server IP addresses on the Gateway IPs.

3. Scroll down to the in the Message Tagging section. Select Message is considered spam if the following header regexp matches.

4. Add a random text value to the Regexp field, something unique which is also unlikely to occur in any email. E.g. uyrghskfeoafkgoeonghgh

5. Check the Disable Gmail Spam Evaluation on mail from this gateway; only use header value option.

5. Click Save


Set up your approved sender list to bypass spam filters

1. Staying in Spam, Phishing and Malware

2. Scroll down and select the Spam section. and click Configure. If the setting is already configured, point to the setting and click Edit or Add Another.

3. For a new setting, enter a unique name or description.

4. Check the Bypass spam filters for messages received from addresses or domains within these approved senders lists box.

5. Click Use existing list or Create or edit list to select an existing list, or create a list of approved senders. To add a new list:

a. Click Create or Edit list.

b. Scroll to the bottom of Manage address lists , and click Add address list.

c. Enter a name for the new list.

d. Click Add address.

e. Enter email addresses or domain names.

f. Click Save to save the new address list.

10.  At the bottom of the settings page, click Save to save the new spam setting.


At this point, you should be finished with configuration, and you can proceed with testing.
