Just-in-Time Training: Assigning Remedial Training for Phishing Campaigns

Admin Managers can assign remedial training to learners to reinforce their security awareness. You have three options for how and when to deliver this training when setting up a phishing campaign.

How to Assign Remedial Training to Your Learners

When creating a phishing campaign, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Phishing section and select Campaigns.

  1. Click Create Campaign.

  1. In the campaign wizard, select the Template or templates you want to include.

  1. Under Recipients, choose who to target:
  • Everyone - Target all learners
  • Specific Departments: Target an entire department or group.
  • Specific Learners: Manually select individuals who frequently fail phishing tests.

  1. Schedule your campaign by choosing one of the following options:
  • Now: The campaign will start immediately, and emails will begin sending as soon as it is launched.
  • Scheduled: Choose a specific start date, duration, and time for the campaign to begin.
  • Random Delivery: Emails will be sent at random times to learners within your selected time window to prevent predictability.

  1. At the Training step, select when you would like the training to be delivered to learners.

Choose one of these options:

  • When the Campaign Ends: When a learner interacts with a simulated phishing email, they are redirected to a 404 error page. After the campaign is complete, they will receive a follow-up email with the assigned training based on the action they took.
  • Just-in-Time Training: This is the recommended option. Learners are redirected to a training page (such as an infographic or video) immediately after interacting with the phishing email. This provides quick training right after a learner fails the test.
  • No Training: When a learner clicks on the phishing email, they are redirected to a 404 error page, and no further training is provided. This option is typically used for baseline testing.

  1. Choose the Training Type that learners will receive to reinforce security awareness:

  • Infographic: An infographic that can be viewed and printed.

  • Web page: Learners can view the training on a web page.

  • Video: Learners can watch a training video.
