Guide: Light and Dark Themes for Optimal User Experience

Managing Modes

Admins can customise the branding of the platform by choosing between light and dark themes. Follow the steps below to personalise your theme settings.

Accessing Theme Settings

1. Login to your Admin Dashboard:

• Navigate to the 'Settings' section.
• Select the 'Theme' tab.

2. Select Your Theme:

• Step 2: Select Light Theme
  • Choose from various light theme options.
• Step 3: Select Dark Theme
  • Choose from various dark theme options.

3. Save Your Settings:

• Click 'Save' to apply the selected theme.

Advanced Customisation

For further customisation and to allow learners the flexibility to switch modes:

1. Enable Advanced Options:

• Toggle the 'Advanced Options' switch on.

2. Choose Between Modes:

• Select either light mode or dark mode.
• Customise the light or dark theme according to your branding preferences.

3. Disable Dark Mode:

• To disable dark mode, de-select the 'Enable Dark Mode' box.
• This prevents learners from switching to dark mode.

Switching Between Modes as a Learner

System Mode

To switch to the system default theme:

1. Navigate to the left of the support centre button.
2. Choose 'System Default' (represented by a half-moon icon).

Light Mode

To switch to a light theme:

• Go to the left of the support centre button (top right of the platform).
• Select 'Light Mode' (represented by a sun icon).

Dark Mode

To switch to a dark theme:

• Go to the left of the support centre button (top right of the platform).
• Select 'Dark Theme' (represented by a moon icon).
