Guide: Phishing Templates Types
A Phishing Template is a pre-designed email used when creating a phishing campaign. Our phishing simulator includes a range of templates - from simple text-only emails to more sophisticated ones that mimic well-known brands with logos and graphics.
Access Phishing Templates
The Templates tab lets you browse system templates when planning to set up a phishing campaign.
- Access your Admin dashboard.
- Navigate to the 'Phishing' section.
- Click on the 'Templates' tab.
- Use the 'Type' dropdown to filter by template
Types of Phishing Email Templates
The system offers three main phishing email types:
- URL - Based (Click Phishing)
- What it does: Contains a link that encourages learners to click.
- How it works: Clicking redirects learners to just-in-time training.
- Reporting: Marked as Clicked in reports.
- Attachment-Based Phishing
- What it does: Includes an attachment with a hidden hook URL.
- How it works: If learners open the file, they are redirected to complete just-in-time training.
- Reporting: Marked as Clicked in reports.
- Credential Based Phishing
- What it does: Redirects users to a spoofed login page to capture credentials.
- How it works: If credentials are entered, learners are taken to training.
- Reporting: Marked as Clicked and Compromised in reports.
