How should I set up onboarding for new Users?

The easiest way to manage new-hire onboarding is to create a single, ongoing onboarding session at the start of your programme, set the audience to Everyone, and set a long schedule (e.g., 12 months).

Once active, any new user added to the platform will automatically be enrolled in the onboarding session - eliminating the need to create new training manually every time someone joins.

A solid onboarding session could include:

  • Cyber Readiness Quiz 1: Captures each new learner’s baseline knowledge.
  • Core Modules: Covers fundamental topics like Cyber Threats, Passwords, Phishing, and Safe Web Browsing.
  • Compliance Modules: GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc., depending on what applies to your organisation.

Important Note for Existing Users: Keep your new-hire onboarding session separate from your regular or ad-hoc training sessions. If you create a session set to Everyone that contains modules existing users have already completed in another session, those users will be reassigned the modules and required to complete them again.

Best practice: Use your ongoing onboarding session specifically for the fundamental training that every new joiner needs, and keep your broader training programme separate.
